Implementation Review

The story behind this tool is my real project experiances when working with clients and partners. Working in adivsory role I have been asked multiple times by customers to help them assesing quality of their apps and also check conformance with Pega best practices. The need of customers is to have a trusted advisor who can review application implementaion multiple times during development cycle and make sure that Pega quality standards are met. To cover this need we must have well defined process, artefacts and tools supporting it readaily avilable. The struggle that I encountered is that there is no tool that can help with this task.

Let's see how Implementation Review fills the gap. Amongst the others, review concentrates on guardrails warnings, rules validation, rule security analysis and review of housekeeping routines. Documents consists of two parts. The first one is a summary of review with the main output of review which is a list of actionable recommendations that helps bringing client's application to a healty state. Second part of document are the details listing observations that will help with fixing application. Document template to drive the review is provided.

AppReview is a component that brings automation to a consultant live and allows to do review in matter of hours rather than days. Platform offers a variety of tools that can be used to measure quality of customer built application (amongs the other guardrails warnings, app studio compliance, list of final conflicts and many more). The trouble is that it is time consuming to run those tools and record the output. AppReview component solves this problem running all avialble tools in platform, adding on top of it many custom build tools to provide all neccessary information in one place.

As result you will get autogenerated Implementation Review document that with some minor tweaks is ready to be handed over to customer. Tools is ligthwieght and easy to install.
